Nomination Checklist

Make sure you have:

told the candidate that you are nominating them

resume of the candidate

a letter recommending the candidate

a digital photograph of the candidate

the candidate's exact date of birth

submitted your nomination by the February 1 deadline

Make sure the candidate is:

a South Carolina resident

between ages of 30 and 45 years

a leader with history of significant community engagement

successful in their chosen field

willing to make a serious time commitment

Make sure the candidate has:

the potential to make an impact at the state level

inherent intellectual curiosity

The nomination process requires only a few minutes if you have the required information.

If you haven’t already written a personal letter of recommendation, consider doing that before continuing.

Don’t forget, a photograph of the nominee must be attached to the application.
