Luanne Runge, a shareholder in the law firm of Gallivan White & Boyd P.A., has been elected 2012 chair-elect of the Greenville Chamber.
She will serve as chair of the Chamber 2013, following Mike Riordan, president of the Greenville Hospital System. Sam Korduros is 2011 chair of the chamber’s board of directors.
Runge has held various positions of leadership with the Chamber, serving as chair of Leadership Greenville in 2004, vice-chair of education and work force in 2006, four years as the Chamber’s general counsel (2007-2010) and currently as vice-chair of organization excellence. She was honored for her leadership with the Chairman’s Award in 2006.
“Luanne is uniquely prepared and equipped to effectively serve in the Chamber’s highest leadership position,” said Konduros of SK Strategies. “She possesses in-depth knowledge about our community and the Chamber and will leverage that with her proven leadership capabilities to help move Greenville forward,” he added.
With more than 19 years of litigation and trial experience, Runge practices in the areas of business law, professional liability and health care in both state and federal courts.
In addition, she leads the Business and Commercial Practice Group for Gallivan, White, & Boyd, a litigation and business law firm comprised of 50 attorneys with offices in Greenville, Columbia and Charlotte.
Runge is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, American Health Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association and is a Liberty Fellow, Class of 2009.
She received her undergraduate degree and her law degree from Wake Forest University. Following graduation from law school, Runge served as a law clerk to Judge C. Victor Pyle Jr.
The Greenville Chamber is the largest business organization in the Upstate.
