Former Rep. To Spend Spring At Harvard
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Former U.S. Rep. Bob Inglis is leaving South Carolina for the campus of Harvard University.
Inglis has been selected as a resident fellow at Harvard's Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
He will spend the spring semester interacting with students in the Harvard community and leading weekly study groups on a range of topics.
"This ideologically diverse group of political professionals possess a deep knowledge of international diplomacy, foreign affairs, speech writing and legislating on Capitol Hill," said Eric Andersen, Fellows Program Director at Harvard's Institute of Politics. "We are looking forward to hosting such prominent practitioners on campus to inspire the next generation of leaders in politics and public service."
Other resident fellows for the semester include John McConnell, senior speechwriter and White House deputy assistant to the president and assistant to the vice president from 2001 to 2009, and Bart Stupak, former U.S. representative from Michigan.
Inglis was defeated in the June primary election by Trey Gowdy, who now represents House District 4.
